Meet Sarah

Hi, I’m Sarah and I’m so glad you’re here! My journey with photography has been a wild ride and I’m excited to share a little bit with you. I started in 2017 with a $200 DSLR I bought from a Facebook yard sale page. I took pictures of my friends and their families and joined photography groups so I could learn from others more experienced than me. In 2019 I elected to launch my Photography business while living in NYC and working at Macy’s Photo Studio. I was lucky enough to photograph the cutest elopement and some incredible engagements/ families.

I moved back to Lynchburg, Virginia in 2021 and tried to grow my business here, but after shooting several Virginia weddings, I soon learned that weddings weren’t what filled my soul. It was the smaller shoots with families and couples that really energized me and made me feel good. I put photography on the back burner while planning my own wedding in 2023. But now in 2024 I am ready to make a comeback and I can’t wait to photograph more couples and families, and don’t worry, I’ve upgraded my equipment since that $200 used DSLR camera.

  • I had a last-minute idea to take family photos during our trip to NYC. So glad I found Sarah! She was very responsive, professional, accommodating, and even offered great styling tips. Our Central Park photos turned out better than I could have ever wanted! Photoshoots can sometimes be a little awkward and stuffy, but Sarah was very easy and comfortable to work with. She was also very patient with our 2 kids under 5, who have a very short attention span. She was so thoughtful and even came with a bag for us to put our things in as we walked around the park.
